Cher is defending her boyfriend Alexander "A.E." Edwards after he allegedly got in a scuffle with Travis Scott in Cannes late last month.
The music legend took to X, formerly Twitter, to defend the rapper and music executive after reports that he and the "Sicko Mode" rapper got into a fight during a Cannes Film Festival after-party.
"I'm Proud of Alexander," Cher wrote. "He Didn't Start The fight against 2 Men,… He finished it, Gotta Love Him."
According to People and Entertainment Tonight, both Edwards, 37, and Cher, 78, attended nightclub owner Richie Akiva's "The After" party on May 23, at a private villa after the AmfAR Cinema Against AIDS Cannes Gala. Scott, 33, rapper Tyga, and other stars were also in attendance.

Video reportedly showed an altercation between Edwards, Scott and others at the party after the "Butterfly Effect" rapper and Tyga were seen on stage together, according to Entertainment Tonight and TMZ. There are differing accounts regarding who started the scuffle, and the reason for the spat has not been reported, though Edwards is a friend of Tyga, 34, and both Scott and the "Rack City" rapper have dated Kylie Jenner.
No serious injuries were reported from the fight.

Cher has been open about the four-decade age gap between her and Edwards.
Cher opened up on the "The Jennifer Hudson Show" last month about why she doesn't date men her age.
"The reason I go out with young men is because men my age or older — well, now they're all dead — but before they just never, they were always terrified to approach me and younger men were the only ones that (did)," she said.
