Sorry, Polin fans—Luke Newton has his own leading lady.
After all, the Bridgerton star seemingly confirmed his romance with dancer Antonia Roumelioti while out in London June 12, one day before the Netflix series' released part two of season three.
While Luke—donning a pale-yellow opened button-up shirt with a white mesh tank top underneath and black slacks—has not publicly addressed his relationship status, he was seen arriving at a London hotel while holding Antonia's hand following an afterparty for the Bridgerton premiere. Meanwhile, the dancer, who was a step behind, dazzled in a teal backless high collar halter neck gown.
But it's no surprise the couple was glowing after the premiere. Luke, who plays Colin Bridgerton as this season's leading man alongside Nicola Coughlin, had a lot to celebrate. After two seasons, Colin and Penelope Featherington had their chance to shine, which proved to be effortless for the onscreen lovebirds.
"It was natural," Luke told E! News. "We didn't have to do anything to ignite that. It was like these characters had got there over a long period of time—they talk of Colin and Pen as the slow burn romance—but really when we got there..."
And Nicola finished, "We just went for it. We had to kind of hold back on the chemistry for the first two seasons. And then it was like when we were ready to unleash it, we were like, 'Here you go!'"
While Colin and Penelope's romantic tension is palpable, Luke confirmed it was his friendship with the Derry Girls alum was an asset for filming.
"You'd think filming a scene like that with someone who's a friend," the 31-year-old explained, "who has been your friend for like four years, would be a daunting experience, but actually it was a reassuring one."
"It felt like a real safe space to explore these scenes and find new and interesting ways—you know, the show is known for the steamy scenes, so we wanted to really encapsulate the Colin and Pen love story," he continued. "Their humor, and all these different genres their relationship showcases."
Now, read on to see Luke with the object of all his desires after the Bridgerton afterparty.
