Eddie Driscoll, who acted in "Mad Men," "Entourage" and "Days of Our Lives," has died. He was 60.
The actor died Dec. 15 from a saddle pulmonary embolism after a short battle with stomach cancer, his friend and fellow actor Jimmy Palumbo confirmed this week to People and The Holywood Reporter.
A pulmonary embolism is a sudden blockage in the pulmonary arteries, or the blood vessels that send blood to the lungs, caused by a blood clot that disrupts flow to the lungs, according to Penn Medicine.
"Eddie was a tremendous talent….could do it all…comedy to broadway….and also a huge (karaoke) host at Dimples and the foxfire room," Palumbo wrote in a statement to USA TODAY Tuesday.

The actor starred in eight episodes of the NBC and Peacock soap opera "Days of Our Lives" between 2005 and 2014, in various roles including Eddie Diamond, Deep Throat and background characters. He starred in Season 3 of the TNT action series "The Last Ship" as Randall Croft, and he also had roles in of "Sex in the City" Season 3 as "Fendi Man," of "Mad Men" Season 7 as Meehan and a lead detective in "Entourage" Season 8.
His career spanned credited roles between 1988, in an episode of the crime drama "Night Heat," to a background role in "This is Us" Season 5 in 2021.
Dimples Karaoke, a karaoke bar in Burbank, California, where Driscoll used to perform, posted a tribute on Instagram on Dec. 30.
"He was the funniest and most talented person that ever worked at Dimples, despite getting fired 9 times (How dare you! - he would had said and then corrected me to tell me it was more times than 9 😂)" the bar wrote. "He never turned down an opportunity to dress funny and always controversial. He had the best costumes. He will be greatly missed by so many people especially our Dimples family."
